The TDC says Trinidad and Tobago beat four other nominees and claimed the top spots in the following categories:
• Best Honeymoon Islands of the Year
• Best Golf Islands of the Year
• Best Carnival Islands of the Year
Picking up awards as well are two of Tobago’s Hotels. Coco Reef Resort and Spa won Best Luxury Resort of the Year as well as Best Business Resort of the Year. Magdalena Grand Beach and Golf Resort won the award for Best Beach and Gold Resort of the Year. Other awards copped by individuals include Caribbean Musician of the Year which went to Trinidad-Born recording artiste Billy Ocean and John Jefferies, owner of the Coco Reef won the Premier Hotelier of the Year award.
The Caribbean World Travel & Living Awards programme is now in its 22nd year and is administered by the Caribbean World Travel & Living Magazine.
