Climate
Trinidad and Tobago has a warm, tropical climate characterised by two distinct seasons, a dry season from January to May and a wet season from June to December. According to the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Office, during the dry months, the islands experience “moderate to strong low level winds, warm days and cool nights, with rainfall mostly in the form of showers due to daytime convection” and “low wind speeds, hot humid days and nights, a marked increase in rainfall which results mostly from migrating and latitudinal shifting equatorial weather systems” during the wet months.
Generally, if you are used to colder climates then T&T might be a very warm, humid place for you. So you might want to plan your outfits with that in mind, especially during the dry season period. If you are used to scorching hot, desert-like temperatures where you’re from, then you might be at home in the bright sunshine. Just be prepared for torrential rain at any moment, especially from June to December.
